CHOOSE A WORKSHOP

Campanile has three different workshops available. Choose the best one for your group -or arrange to do all three over a period of time!  Most of Campanile's workshops are a full day - from 9am-3pm, or from 10am-4pm. However, Campanile can also provide a mini version of each of these workshops presenting the class highlights in three hours. So, if your
schedule is tight, there's no need to miss out on the fun - maybe a half-day mini-workshop is right for you.
 

Campanile's Finishing School
This workshop is designed to break down basic techniques so that ringers feel comfortable with basic ring, four in hand, weaving, and complex rhythms.

We'll start with an assessment so gentle nobody will even know it's happening.. Then we split the groups into levels so each person will be working at a speed that is just right for them - challenging, but never discouraging.

We teach the following in Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced levels: Rhythms, Treble Techniques, Bass Techniques.

Each group will learn at least one piece and everyone will perform in a mini-concert at the end of the workshop.

Campanile's Midway of Music - A Reading Session
Why play the same old thing? Want to find something new and wonderful to play in concert or in worship? Here's the
place. This workshop is designed to give ringers and directors maximum exposure to new and interesting music.  And, so nobody loses their mind this workshop runs on two tracks: Roller Coaster and Ferris Wheel Roller Coasters read every piece with no break!

Ferris Wheels read every OTHER piece and do a "prep" class in between, where they get to analyze the piece and maybe even work some techniques before they try it. We'll also have discussion of how to assign pieces, and have plenty of circulating one-on-one help.  Whichever "ride" you're on, it's nonstop ringing fun.

Campanile's Sandbox
Campanile presents a workshop filled with fun and games designed to make you a better ringer. This isn't another "same old workshop"! No technique classes you've taken three times before. Sandbox is a nonstop romp through a maze of useful fun and games! (This workshop, with some slight revisions is also suitable for non ringers.)

In the Sandbox you will:

• Work in small groups
• Have all hands-on classes
• Learn to match ringing styles
• Learn to create music together
• Learn to move together
• Learn to THINK together

Follow the Leader
You and your fellow ringers will match ringing styles. You can even play flawless chords!

Spare Change
An exercise in change ringing and CONCENTRATION! 45321....no....WAIT that's ME!

All Together Now
A madcap adventure in teamwork. Let your imagination run wild, and learn to anticipate your neighbor.

Passing Zone
Coordination is the name of the game! Gotta keep up with the Maori sticks!

Musical Chairs
Can you absorb an extra bell in your assignment? Two? Three??? Bell Hog Heaven!

Showtime
Tried and true theatre games that keep you on your toes! Next time you might actually watch your director!

You'll also have the opportunity to participate in a special session of 12 Step, a movement experience for ringers. You'll be light on your feet, ready to weave, and get in perfect synch with your fellow ringers.
