We have all heard the old saying:  “sometimes the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. ”  That ’ s what happened to us.

Our creative community was a handful of people who came together to make music. Some of us were old friends. Some of us had never met before. But what we did in our time together was more extraordinary than what any one of us could have achieved alone, and fulfilled a need many of us didn ’ t even know we had.

This book is about the collaborative creative process: how a group of random people started with a blank slate to end up at the top of their field by creating an entirely new way of doing something very, very old.

It’s an exploration of how creative groups find their purpose and identity, how they problem-solve to reach their goals, how the culture of the group informs their creative processes, and how their contributions to the artistic community enrich lives  –  theirs and others.

A truly engaging peek ‘behind-the-curtain’ of a ground-breaking group and their collaborative process, both the good and the bad. Campanile were not only ’trend-setters,’ but are truly the giants upon whose shoulders the rest of us must stand. Anybody who collaborates, or works with creative people, should read this book!
